About Database
In a clinical study, a 2-week course of Daigo reduced levels of the toxin indoxyl sulfate (a marker of intestinal microbiota imbalance) and improved bowel function; participants also reported improved sleep quality and easier morning awakening. Improvement of the gut microbiota may positively affect neurotransmitter synthesis—for example, the intestinal microbiota is involved in serotonin production, which in turn increases melatonin levels and improves sleep. Thus, Daigo indirectly normalizes sleep and biological rhythms via the gut–brain axis and may be considered to exhibit a chrono-effect. A laboratory study (Life Length, EU) demonstrated that adding Daigo Lux to a fibroblast culture slowed telomere shortening by approximately 1.5-fold (over 8 weeks, telomeres shortened by 111% in the control group, versus only 39–57% with Daigo Lux) / daigoworld.com. As early as 6 hours after administration, telomere elongation of >40% was observed, and the effect persisted after discontinuation. No stimulation of cancer cell growth was detected, indicating safety. Conclusion: Daigo Lux slows cellular aging (by preserving telomere length) and therefore meets the criterion of “aging deceleration.” In addition, like the base Daigo product, it contains a metabiotic for microbiota normalization, which may have beneficial effects on circadian rhythms and the immune system.
